The Stockholm office provides advice and legal solutions within the framework of an international law firm. Our work spans a broad spectrum and covers all areas of commercial law. Our clients include both Swedish and foreign companies and, inter alia, private and institutional investors, state and municipal companies and authorities, insurance companies and banks. Our firm is large enough to handle all areas of commercial law, while the size allows us to give our clients personal attention.
Working as a lawyer at Kilpatrick Townsend involves developing tasks in a creative, generous and stimulating environment. It is very important to us to maintain a good atmosphere. Each individual is valued as an important part of the firm and our office is characterized by open doors and team spirit.
- Associate
-
If you have Swedish Master of Laws degree and experience from court duty or other relevant international or business experience, we are interested in hearing from you. The normal route through our educational program is to start by working within the different practice groups while specialization starts thereafter. This way you will first build a solid platform of experience in general commercial law and gain an insight into all of the firm’s practice areas. Bar membership usually follows three years of work and subsequently consideration for partnership.
-
Employment at Kilpatrick Townsend includes compensation for parental leave, pension benefits and gym membership.
- Trainee
-
If you have Swedish Master of Laws degree, good grades and i.a. international experience, you are welcome to apply for a trainee position with us. The employment is typically limited to one year. As a trainee, you will work with matters and in projects in a similar way to an associate lawyer within several of the firm’s practice areas. In our trainee programme each trainee is allocated a mentor, usually a partner, who will give you varying tasks which will provide you with a good insight into our business.
-
Having completed the trainee period it is common to do a court clerkship for 18 months, after which we hope to be able to welcome you to join the firm as an associate lawyer.
- Summer Trainee
-
Every year we offer one law student the opportunity to gain experience and training from our international law firm through our summer trainee programme. The employment is for approximately two months in which part of the time is spent in Stockholm and the rest at our office in Atlanta. Summer trainees are recruited early every year and they must have finished their sixth term at law school prior to employment.
- Thesis intern
-
We accept one thesis intern every semester for 10 weeks of service.
